Important Update: Venly's Seamless Integration with Polygon's New Amoy Testnet
On April 14th, Venly will transition to using Polygon's new Amoy testnet across our products. This transition marks a crucial step forward in ensuring our developers have access to the latest blockchain testing environments.
What's Changing?
This transition signifies a shift from the current Polygon PoS testnet, Mumbai, to the new Amoy testnet. It introduces a fresh start with a new test network and a new state. This change is in response to the evolving needs of the blockchain development community and the scheduled deprecation of the Goerli testnet, which affects the current Polygon PoS testnet, Mumbai.
Impact on Venly developers
- Data Reset: With the move to the Amoy testnet, all your existing test data will be reset. This includes smart contracts, transactions, and any test token or NFT balances you currently hold.
- No Action Required: Venly developers do not need to take any action to migrate to the new testnet. We've got you covered! Venly will handle all the technical updates seamlessly.
- Data Backup: If there's testnet data you wish to retain, we advise backing it up before April 14th. Post-transition, the previous testnet data will no longer be accessible.
Why This Matters
By integrating with Amoy, Venly ensures that our developers have access to the most advanced, secure, and user-friendly testing environment available today within the Polygon ecosystem.
We're here to assist you through this change and to ensure that your development experience is as smooth and productive as possible.
